Model United Nations (MUN) is a debate competition that simulates the infamous intergovernmental organization the United Nations. Delegates represent different countries or individuals in committees that can resemble real life or even imaginative issues. The University of Florida Model United nations team is ranked 12 in the nation, and is dedicated to fostering a fun and competitive environment. This team allows individuals to utilize their public speaking skills and grow their political science knowledge. No experience is necessary; we provide training before each conference and are happy to help you with the research process. Our Directors of Member Development provide trainings during each meeting, and are open to answer any questions.
We'd really love to see you at our weekly meetings every Wednesday in the Reitz at 7:00 pm and you can join at any time throughout the semester! There is no try-out process or application to become a member. We welcome every University of Florida student who is interested.
